Primary Care Trusts on Bebo (Yes, Bebo)
This post forms part of a series investigating the use of social utilities for public and patient engagement by 152 Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in the NHS in England. The research is to be submitted to MedInfo2010 where it will hopefully be accepted. This data was correct as of collection in July 2009 and as such will already be out-of-date. If you are a new PCT to YouTube please get in touch and I’ll add you to the list.
Feel free to use this data in any way that you wish but please give credit where it is due. Although friends, photos, blog posts, videos, groups, comments, whiteboard and profile views were collected this will only be made available by request as I will be conducting a longitudinal study of these organisations in the future. Should you want to get involved in the collection of this data please also get in touch! For PCTs, I will also be investigating how and why you are using Bebo so would be grateful for any comments that you may have and would be happy to organise a workshop in the future. As previously mentioned, this preliminary data will form part of a much larger programme of research. This is just the beginning.
